Product information

A level floor and firmly bonded tiles with the same product. Mapei Keraflex Extra S1 LD ZERO is a flexible levelling mortar/tile adhesive that you can also use in the Staenis floor system to smooth tileable insulating screed (Strong) and Cem Mini. The mortar spreads easily and can be struck off flush with the top of the Staenis grid.

Using Keraflex in your Staenis floor

• Strong tileable insulating screed: finish the primed screed with a thin layer of Keraflex. Fill the open surface and strike it off level with the top of the grid. Once cured, you can fix your tiles.
• Cem Mini beneath laminate: smooth the primed Cem Mini with Keraflex to create an even base for the underlay and laminate. Install the floor finish once the build-up is sufficiently dry.
• Existing screed: smooth small irregularities up to 10 mm, including on suitable outdoor screeds. Remove loose grains and dust; the substrate must be sound and load-bearing.

For preparing Strong and Cem Mini in our floor system, use FG300 primer. Follow the application instructions for the primer and your chosen floor build-up. Keraflex is smoothed by hand with a trowel; it is not a self-levelling compound.

How much do you need?

• Pack size: 20 kg per bag, grey.
• Smoothing Strong: allow approximately 5.2 kg/m², or about 3.8 m² per bag. Actual consumption depends on the openness and flatness of the substrate.
• Fixing tiles: approximately 2–5 kg/m², depending on the tile, notched trowel and layer thickness. Allow for this in addition to the smoothing layer.

Application

Mix with clean water using the quantity stated on your bag. Follow the corresponding technical sheet for application, layer thickness and waiting times. Natural stone must be dimensionally stable and colour-stable; this grey adhesive is not suitable for stone prone to discolouration or deformation.

Delivery and collection

Order by the bag and choose pallet delivery or collection in Loppem. Include the adhesive with the rest of your floor materials. Available transport options and costs are shown during checkout. Wait for confirmation that your order is ready before collecting.
